This years race will be held at beautiful Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka. The 5K and 1 mile will be held at the same time and you may run or walk either. Both races will start in the same location while the 5K will do 1 3/4 loops and the walk will do less then a full loop. The race course contains a descent into the ravine where the old water works used to be located and then a gradual uphill to t he finish. Both events end at the beautiful Court of States with a post race party.
Join us for our inaugural year of the "Breaking Free" 5k Run to benefit Lee Conlee House.
Lee Conlee House, Inc. is the certified domestic violence center serving Putnam County, Florida. We provide services to victims of domestic violence, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, outreach services, and violence prevention programs for the community. All proceeds from the run will help to benefit and grow our services in the community.
Day of registration will be available beginning at 7:30 AM with the race starting at 9:00 AM- it is recommended that you register before the day of the race to ensure faster processing on the day of. Age divisions will start with a 14 and under, 15 - 19 with subsequent categories being spaced at 10 year intervals and the final category reserved for those 70 and older- there will be a male and female winner for each age division and an overall male and female winner.
Both the run and walk will be timed with an electronic chip system to ensure accuracy and real time results.
